The Nólsoy Tourist Information is established in 2007. The tourist information is situated in the house that the locals call Pakkhúsið hjá Petersen - Petersen's Warehouse. It's erected on the foundations of one of the first shops in the village, built in 1787. This historic house in the heart of the harbour has now been renovated and is used for the Tourist Information and a café. While enjoying a cup of coffee or having lunch, prepared from local produce, you can admire the excellent view of both the high island and the creek where shag, eider, and black guillemot frisk about in the sea. You may even be lucky and spot a seal. The ferry Ternan berths just outside the house. The tourist information office arranges guided excursions as well as overnight accommodation on Nólsoy. Please contact the Tourist Information for any enquiries. |
